One moment, you're stuck in an endless scroll hole of "Earth Tone Minimalist Interior" on Pinterest... and then one day, you finally get to add "Baby Room" to your search.

That's where I come in – fabric, seam ripper, and rattle cellophane at the ready!

My name is Sandra, and I'm the craft teacher turned online entrepreneur here to help you bring your "Baby DIY" Pinterest board to life.

Wow, you're *finally* going to be a mom!

And at the same pace as the ads in your Instagram feed become increasingly baby-related, so does your To-DIY list.

Babynests, loveys, and baby clothes suddenly feel like the only right things to DIY, and the other day, you caught yourself scrolling waaay down the "Cute Earth Tone Woodland Nursery" feed on Pinterest. 🤭

I understand you 100%! Been there, done that!

And you know - I think that's exactly what you should be doing right now! <3

  • Daydream. Long. Prepare. Nest. All those things that make your stomach flutter a little extra.

Because isn't there something truly special about waiting and longing with all your heart for something you can't quite put your finger on? Waiting and longing for someone you've never met, but already love so much that it hurts. 💛

For me, a very big part of preparing for motherhood was making things for our little baby. Making things for the baby you're eagerly anticipating makes everything so much more real.

  • I mean, wow – soon you will gently stroke the cheek of a snoozing baby in a cozy little babynest you made yourself.

And soon, you'll be cuddling a squeaky-clean baby in a baby towel you made yourself.

And soon there will be a little bundle of joy lying under the baby gym, totally fascinated by the cute toys 👏🏼 you 👏🏼 made 👏🏼 yourself.

There’s just something about handmade baby items that hits different, right?

But, sewing has not always been my forte.

On the contrary – just a few years back I thought of myself as a knitter and a crocheter, but didn't think sewing machines were my cup of tea.

The word "sew" used to send shivers down my spine. And every time someone even hinted at the idea of me trying my hand at sewing, flashbacks of that shockingly pink hoodie I sewed back in middle school would haunt me.

My classmates from the "Textile Crafts 101" mandatory course for teachers-to-be can vouch for the panic in my eyes when our craft teacher suddenly announced a sewing assignment instead of our usual knitting or crocheting tasks. (Honestly, I would've preferred knitting a 30-meter-long scarf in garter stitch over facing a sewing machine again, haha!)

Sewing just wasn't my thing, and this poor little assignment was going to be the one that dropped my grade from great to just "good enough"... (but let's save the whole school performance anxiety talk for another day 🙈)

But do you know what happened once I just sat down at the sewing machine and got started?

My project turned out pretty good!

What I sewed during that class didn't resemble the neon pink hoodie with wonky seams and white cuffs at all!

When I swallowed my pride, dared to ask for a little guidance, and just dove right in, I actually ended up with something I was genuinely proud of!

That same Christmas, I asked my parents for a sewing machine. And before I knew it, I was a budding entrepreneur in the sewing biz.

And the rest, as they say, is history. 😎

SINCE THEN I LIVE BY THE MOTTO:

"You don't have to be good to start, but you have to start to be good!"

When I got pregnant a few years later, my sewing hobby suddenly kicked into high gear. Sewing baby toys, nursery décor, and other baby must-haves became my absolute favorite pastime.

... and now I love sharing that passion with other new moms and mamas-to-be (just like you!).

I started sharing the patterns I created with others who have discovered a love for baby DIY, hoping to inspire and motivate them to explore their creative horizons.

In my world, anyone can create the coziest baby items (yes, even you, who haven't even touched a sewing machine)! I'll help you sew products that will brighten up the upcoming baby days while making sure the process feels like the most enjoyable nesting hobby ever. <3

My patterns are beginner friendly and designed so that anyone can sew them. The products below are my big crowd favorites, and I have a feeling you'll like them too ;)

Let's begin!!
