You’ll Need:

  • Muslin fabric in two different colors (also called Double Gauze)
  • Filling, approx. 20 g
  • Ribbon, approx. 70 cm
  • Sewing needle and thread

Other helpful tools:
Pins, disappearing ink marker (e.g., a Frixion pen), fabric scissors, iron + ironing board, embroidery hoop, cotton thread, something with a 90-degree angle (e.g., a ruler or a piece of paper).

Sewn with ordinary sewing machine.

Difficulty level: ★★ (3 of 3)

The Snuggly Blankie is made from two contrasting pieces of fabric. I recommend muslin (Double Gauze) or another lightweight fabric with a nice drape.

The blanket itself is sewn using a "faux binding" technique, which gives it a professional and high-end look while allowing you to mix and match fabrics for the outer and lining layers to make the blankie more personal.

The face is embroidered by hand, and you can either use the included embroidery guide as a template or create your own unique expression for the face.

The finished Snuggly Blankie measures approximately 40 cm (16") long.
